Original band formed in the 80’s, delivering quality tunes/sounds with over 40 years of experience.

 

Scat are a 4 piece Classic Rock Band with a blend of 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, modern music repertoire that are based in Melbourne.

The band are a collection of amazing talented muso’s who are from various well known successful bands, that have toured around the world, and are inspired by and perform songs from Bon Jovi; Cold Chisel; Def Leppard; Led Zeppelin; Pink; Baby Animals; Pat Benatar; INXS; Journey; ZZ Top; The Black Keys; Fleetwood Mac; Toto; ACDC; Queen; Foo Fighters; Adele; Robbie Williams; Lady Gaga; etc. This is proof alone of the broad range of artists and era’s they cover, the captivating lead vocalists, both male and female can cater for the broad range of artists, so this band stands out to tailor for a wider and diverse audience. Regular fans are always intrigued of what they may play next.

 

Their unique brand of entertainment fuses energy that each individual brings to the stage, yet collaboratively connects with one-another and captivates their audiences with their vocal harmonies and energy.

 

Vocalists, ‘Chris Cuttler`and ‘Robbi Zana’ both sing challenging vocal songs that are exceptionally executed and leave audiences in a state of awe, singing songs that most entertainers wouldn’t dare attempt on stage. Chris with his astonishing range and Robbi with her gravitating vocals are a force to be reckoned with.

 

Paul Gales roaring lead guitar lines/riffs, and complimenting vocals fills the stage with his guitar wizardry, and hypnotising stage charisma.

 

A driving rhythm section with ‘Robbi Zana’ on bass, and the energising force of Alex Deegan’s drumming, sets up the meat and potatoes of the band.

Alex’s technical drumming precision is tastefully delivered and leaving his fans begging for more, as if unleashing a lion from it’s cage, as one of the most mesmerising musical drummers in Australia.

Now hailed as ‘The band that held the longest residency in the Melbourne scene (over 15 years)’, recognised across high profiled venues playing up to 5 nights a week, they have maintained a loyal, unwavering and diverse fan base for an unprecedented number of years.

Scat have performed countless shows and have had the pleasure of supporting and inviting on stage just to mention a few: Wilbur Wilde; Rodger Corser; Skyhooks vocalist: Graeme “Shirley” Strachan.
